ONE OF THE COSTA BLANCA’S FAVOURITE social destinations has just released their summer 2019 entertainment schedule, with some acts on the Villamartin Plaza live music performance roster returning from last year, and some surprise stars due to take centre stage later this summer.

The Plaza, as it is known locally, is renowned for its summer entertainments calendar, with last years sensational live music season culminating with a performance from British soft-rock royalty icon and global vocal superstar, Leo Sayer.

[Villamartin Plaza summer 2019 live music calendar sees stars] And for the forthcoming season, they´ve pulled out all the stops to provide more than four months of world-class entertainment throughout the summer.

Local acts will perform alongside international musicians, and the schedule kicks off on Thursday 23rd May with a performance from local 4-piece band, the Geckos.

The all-male band opened last year´s season of live music at Villamartin Plaza, playing a varied back-catalogue of music from recording artists such as Paul Carrack, the Bee Gees, Stevie Wonder, and Crowded House.

Spanish rock band Connecta2 will open the June live music calendar with covers from artists such as Queen, The Police, and ACDC. And if the leading female vocalist´s gritty rendition of Guns N´ Roses “Sweet Child of Mine” is anything to go by, concert-goers are in for quite some treat.

Local acoustic band Steel Horse provides a lighter musical alternative, with a live performance later in the month.
