SCHOOLS in more than 80 Alicante municipalities and in all areas of Murcia will keep their doors closed tomorrow Thursday due to maximum level weather warnings.

Alicante, Orihuela, Benidorm, Torrevieja, Alcoy, Calpe and Denia are among the areas in Alicante which have announced classes will be cancelled as the region suffers the effects of the cold snap.

In Murcia the region’s Education department said all classes for the day have been cancelled.-- Advertisement --The AEMET State Meteorology Agency has issued red weather alerts for Alicante and Murcia tomorrow. Large areas of Almeria are on orange alert.

AEMET forecasts storms, torrential downpours and high winds.

Parents in Almeria may want to check with their children’s schools tomorrow before setting out to take their kids to class.
